Luxembourg Test Data Generator
Create synthetic Luxembourg profiles for forms, demonstrations and localization tests.
Preparing your test data…
Your first record will appear here shortly.
Copy individual values or export the entire result.
Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.
Testing Luxembourg interfaces
This locale uses fr_LU definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.
Testing Luxembourg forms
Use a Luxembourg profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on the l- postal prefix. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.
Generator locale: fr_LU. Suggested application display locale: fr-LU. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.
Address reference for Luxembourg
The Luxembourg UPU sheet shows four postcode digits with an L- prefix before the locality. Its examples also distinguish a PO box from a street address.
The L- postal prefix
Define whether your application stores the prefix or adds it during label formatting. Test both an already-prefixed value and bare digits so a formatter cannot produce L-L-.
A deliberate regression fixture
Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only country: LU postal_input: "L-0123" postal_digits: "0123" expected: Preserve leading zeros and emit the country prefix once under the chosen formatting policy.
These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.
- 01
Fixture assertion
Preserve leading zeros and emit the country prefix once under the chosen formatting policy.
- 02
Original text
Add the hand-written input “Prés” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

Locale and coverage
Test fr-LU display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
