ABOUT GENORY

Better fixtures. Better testing.

A practical workspace for creating synthetic test data, checking formats and testing international interfaces.

01

Examples, sources and corrections

Genory Editorial is the publication label used for our guides. It does not identify an independent certification body. Tool behavior and documented limitations take priority over a general explanation.

Our guides separate synthetic examples from real account or identity verification. Standards and provider documentation are linked where they explain a technical rule. A worked example is illustrative unless it explicitly reports a measured result.

Found an error? Send the page address, the statement and a reproducible synthetic example to [email protected]. Do not include customer records, credentials or real payment details.

Built around everyday testing

A checkout form needs believable inputs. A dashboard needs varied records. A localization test needs names, addresses and characters from different regions. Genory brings those tasks into one workspace, without asking you to copy customer records.

Use individual generators for a quick field value, build a complete profile, or connect the API to a development workflow.

03

From a single field to a complete fixture

  • Development: populate forms, tables and prototypes with fresh sample records.
  • Quality assurance: exercise field lengths, validation, copying and export behavior.
  • Localization: test 60 profile locales, international phone formats and Unicode.
  • Banking interfaces: inspect 89 IBAN formats, checksum results and documented coverage limits.

Connected values, useful context

Names feed into usernames and email addresses. Company names inform the email and website domain. City, region and available postal data come from the same locality record. The output includes quality notes where coverage is partial.

Synthetic does not mean impossible in the real world. A generated name, domain, phone number or account sequence may coincide with an existing value. Keep these fixtures in controlled test environments.

05

Clear about what has been checked

IBAN structure and MOD-97 checks are separate from national account checks. The validator explains missing reference data. Generation checks IBAN structure and checksum and reports gaps in additional bank-specific validation. Bank names and BICs are shown only where the bundled reference data supports them.

A valid format is not evidence of an existing account, deliverable address or working payment method. Card samples are Luhn-valid format data, not payment-provider sandbox credentials.
