HELP / FAQ

Answers before your next test.

Data quality, free access, exports, API usage and payments — explained in plain language.

Is this real personal data?

Profiles are generated for testing rather than retrieved from customer records. Place names and some banking reference information come from public datasets. Individual generated values may still match real names, domains or numbers. Do not contact people or attempt payments using generated records.

What can I do for free?

Guests can generate five records per UTC day. A Free account allows 20 per UTC day, one per request, with individual copying and one saved configuration. File downloads require active Pro or Developer access. Validation tools remain subject to request-rate limits.

Which plan is right for me, and when should I upgrade?

Free is for occasional checks and trying the tools: test a form field, copy a sample value or explore a generator. Start here if one record at a time and the daily allowance meet your needs.

Pro is for regular browser-based work: generate batches of profiles or IBAN samples, choose supported banks and download datasets for spreadsheets or manual testing. Choose Pro when you need file downloads, batches or more than the Free daily allowance. CSV and JSON downloads do not require Developer; IBAN also supports TXT export.

Developer is for scripts, app integrations and automated tests that use the API, or browser workflows that need the larger record allowance and higher request limits. Website and API generation share the same allowance. API access requires an active Developer plan.

Your job title does not determine your plan. A developer who only needs occasional samples can use Free; someone who regularly downloads files without API automation can choose Pro. See the pricing page for current allowances and prices.

Can I download an Excel file?

Pro and Developer include CSV and JSON downloads. CSV opens in Excel and other spreadsheet applications; a native .xlsx workbook is not currently provided. CSV values are quoted and leading spreadsheet formula characters are neutralized. Downloading an existing result does not consume another record.

Why can an IBAN pass some checks but not all of them?

All 89 country formats are available for generation. Every output passes country, length, BBAN structure and MOD-97 checks, as well as the national checks implemented for its bank. Where additional rules are unavailable, a short notice explains that the test IBAN may not be fully valid and must not be used for real transfers. Extended bank selection remains available in 33 countries.

Neither “valid” nor “fullyChecked” confirms an existing bank account, its owner or acceptance by a payment processor.

Can I choose the bank used for an IBAN?

Active Pro and Developer access includes a bank selector in the profile and IBAN generators. Select a country, then search by bank name, city, country name/code, routing code, BIC or postal code where available. The selector covers 33 countries, including over 1,000 German routing entries. Several entries can belong to the same institution. Missing city and address details are left empty. Free access uses automatic selection.

Can I use the card numbers for a test payment?

The card tool supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and UnionPay formats with a Luhn checksum, future expiry date and synthetic security code. These are format samples only. For a payment integration, use the test card numbers published by your payment provider in its sandbox. Free access generates one sample at a time; Pro supports up to 50 samples and Developer up to 100 per request. Both include table view, downloads, mixed networks and deliberate error scenarios. Complete individual samples and browser-local format validation are free.

Are addresses and phone numbers verified?

City, region and available postal information come from linked GeoNames records. Some countries have postal prefixes only or no postal data in the bundle. Street names and house numbers are synthetic and are not checked for deliverability.

Phone formats are checked against country metadata. Reserved fictional ranges are used where implemented; numbers elsewhere are not guaranteed to be unassigned.

Which plan includes API access?

API access and key creation require an active Developer plan. Free and Pro do not include API access or an API trial. Developer API calls share the plan’s record allowance with website generation. Keep API keys on your server and revoke keys you no longer need.

How do paid plans and renewals work?

When checkout is enabled, access is purchased for 30 or 365 days in advance. There is no automatic wallet debit. A verified completed payment activates access; returning from checkout alone does not. Renewing the same tier extends remaining paid time. Contact support before changing tiers during an active prepaid period.

Annual plans replenish the record allowance every 30 days. Unused records do not roll over. When paid access ends, Free limits apply.

I paid, but my plan has not changed. What should I do?

Open Dashboard → Subscription and select Check payment. Crypto payments may need network confirmations and provider processing. An incomplete payment does not activate a plan.

If the payment still cannot be matched, open a support ticket with the order ID, currency/network and payment time. Never send wallet seeds, private keys or API secrets. Avoid paying again before the first payment is reviewed.

Can I retrieve a previously generated profile?

Generated profiles and validation inputs are not stored in account history. History contains usage metadata such as route, time, result status and record count. Copy or export a result before leaving the page. Presets save generation settings, not the generated records.

Who can get support or report a problem?

Personal support is available only with an active paid Pro or Developer plan. Guest and Free access include documentation and FAQs, but no personal support.

Paid users can open a support ticket from the dashboard. Account holders can submit bug reports and feature suggestions separately; these do not include personal support. Include the tool, country, approximate time and steps needed to reproduce the issue. For a formatting problem, share a synthetic example rather than a real customer record.
