Italy Test Data Generator
Create synthetic Italy profiles for forms, demonstrations and localization tests.
Preparing your test data…
Your first record will appear here shortly.
Copy individual values or export the entire result.
Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.
Testing Italy interfaces
This locale uses it definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.
Testing Italy forms
Use a Italy profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on cap and province abbreviations. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.
Generator locale: it. Suggested application display locale: it-IT. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.
Address reference for Italy
The Italian UPU sheet uses a five-digit postcode before the town and a province abbreviation on the locality line. Building, floor and apartment information is a distinct optional component.
CAP and province abbreviations
Test the CAP as text alongside a separate province value. A province abbreviation belongs in the address model, rather than being appended permanently to the city stored in your database.
A deliberate regression fixture
Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only country: IT postal_shape: "01234" province: "RM" apartment: omitted expected: Retain five digits and the province while allowing the unused apartment field to stay empty.
These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.
- 01
Fixture assertion
Retain five digits and the province while allowing the unused apartment field to stay empty.
- 02
Original text
Add the hand-written input “D’Angelo” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.
- 03
Locale and coverage
Test it-IT display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
