Ireland Test Data Generator
Create synthetic Ireland profiles for forms, demonstrations and localization tests.

Testing Ireland interfaces
This locale uses en_IE definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.
Testing Ireland forms
Use a Ireland profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on eircode text and named buildings. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.
Generator locale: en_IE. Suggested application display locale: en-IE. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.
Address reference for Ireland
The UPU guide describes a seven-character alphanumeric Eircode with a space after the first three characters. It includes a named-building address as well as numbered-street examples.
Eircode text and named buildings
Use an Eircode-shaped string to test spacing, not to prove an assigned delivery point. A building-name fixture should also expose a form that mistakenly requires every address to have an integer house number.
A deliberate regression fixture
Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only country: IE postal_shape: "A99 A9A9" (A = letter, 9 = digit) building: "Example House" house_number: omitted expected: Keep the alphanumeric grouping and save the named-building fixture without inventing a house number.
These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.

Fixture assertion
Keep the alphanumeric grouping and save the named-building fixture without inventing a house number.
- 02
Original text
Add the hand-written input “O’Ríain” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

Locale and coverage
Test en-IE display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
