Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.
Testing South Korea interfaces
This locale uses ko definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.
Testing South Korea forms
Use a South Korea profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on five-digit codes and building/unit suffixes. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.
Generator locale: ko. Suggested application display locale: ko-KR. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.
Address reference for South Korea
The Korea UPU sheet documents the five-digit code introduced in 2015 in place of the former six-digit system. Its examples distinguish a building number with dong from a unit with ho.
Five-digit codes and building/unit suffixes
Include a migration rejection or review case for an old six-digit shape. Keep building and unit fields separate, and add Hangul text as an independent rendering fixture.
A deliberate regression fixture
Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only country: KR postal_shape: "01234" building: "102-dong" unit: "204-ho" expected: Retain five postcode characters and distinguish the building from the unit.
These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.
- 01
Fixture assertion
Retain five postcode characters and distinguish the building from the unit.
- 02
Original text
Add the hand-written input “하늘” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

Locale and coverage
Test ko-KR display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
