South Africa Test Data Generator
Create synthetic South Africa profiles for forms, demonstrations and localization tests.

Your first record will appear here shortly.
Copy individual values or export the entire result.
Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.
Testing South Africa interfaces
This locale uses en_ZA definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.
Testing South Africa forms
Use a South Africa profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on street delivery versus po box delivery. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.
Generator locale: en_ZA. Suggested application display locale: en-ZA. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.
Address reference for South Africa
South African postcodes contain four digits. The UPU distinguishes physical, rural and postal-service delivery addresses, with the postcode below the locality or post office.
Street delivery versus PO box delivery
Use separate physical-address and PO-box fixtures. The address type should control which fields appear, rather than forcing a PO box into the street-name field.
A deliberate regression fixture
Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only country: ZA delivery_type: "PO box" box: "28" postal_shape: "0123" expected: Preserve the delivery type, box identifier and initial postcode zero.
These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.
- 01
Fixture assertion
Preserve the delivery type, box identifier and initial postcode zero.
- 02
Original text
Add the hand-written input “Zoë” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.
- 03
Locale and coverage
Test en-ZA display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
