Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.

Testing Nigeria interfaces

This locale uses en_NG definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC TEST CASES

Testing Nigeria forms

Use a Nigeria profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on locality, state and six-digit postal fields. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.

Generator locale: en_NG. Suggested application display locale: en-NG. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.

Address reference for Nigeria

Nigerian postcodes contain six digits after the locality. The UPU examples distinguish locality, a further administrative level and state; they also show a Federal Capital Territory example.

Locality, state and six-digit postal fields

Test that a state or territory selector does not overwrite the locality. Multi-part display names belong in a text-preserving field rather than an assumed two-word parser.

A deliberate regression fixture

Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only
country: NG
postal_shape: "123456"
locality: "Example locality"
region: "Example state"
expected: Keep six digits and both locality and region when moving between form steps.

These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.

  1. 01

    Fixture assertion

Keep six digits and both locality and region when moving between form steps.

  2. 02

    Original text

Add the hand-written input “Adé” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

  3. 03

    Locale and coverage

Test en-NG display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
