Your first record will appear here shortly.
Copy individual values or export the entire result.

Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.

Testing Hong Kong interfaces

This locale uses en_HK definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC TEST CASES

Testing Hong Kong forms

Use a Hong Kong profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on flat, floor and building with no postcode input. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.

Generator locale: en_HK. Suggested application display locale: en-HK. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.

Address reference for Hong Kong

The Hong Kong UPU examples use flat, floor, building, street and district information without a postcode field. They also distinguish postal-box delivery through a named post office.

Flat, floor and building with no postcode input

Use a no-postcode fixture to expose a leftover mandatory ZIP field after switching from another country. Do not fabricate zeros to fill a missing postcode; retain detailed building information instead.

A deliberate regression fixture

Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only
country: HK
flat: "8"
floor: "12/F"
building: "Example Building"
postal_code: omitted
expected: Save the fixture without inserting a dummy ZIP code or dropping floor information.

These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.

  1. 01

    Fixture assertion

Save the fixture without inserting a dummy ZIP code or dropping floor information.

  2. 02

    Original text

Add the hand-written input “美玲” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

  3. 03

    Locale and coverage

Test en-HK display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.
