Preparing your test data…

Your first record will appear here shortly.
Copy individual values or export the entire result.

Synthetic identities; domains, addresses and numbers may coincide with real values. Do not contact or send payments.

Testing Bangladesh interfaces

This locale uses bn_BD definitions for names and presentation formats. Test text lengths, input handling, exports and Unicode support. City, region and available postal codes come from the same GeoNames locality. See the generated quality note for postal coverage; street and house number remain synthetic.

COUNTRY-SPECIFIC TEST CASES

Testing Bangladesh forms

Use a Bangladesh profile as a starting point for form tests. This guide focuses on locality separators and bengali inputs. Add the deliberate fixture below to make that behavior repeatable.

Generator locale: bn_BD. Suggested application display locale: bn-BD. These are separate settings; this guide does not change the generator’s output.

Address reference for Bangladesh

Bangladesh uses four postcode digits after the locality, separated by a dash in the UPU layout. The guide distinguishes a delivery post office and optional sub-district information.

Locality separators and Bengali inputs

Treat the dash joining locality and postcode as label formatting, not part of the locality stored in your model. Add a Bengali input fixture because generated Latin-script names alone cannot test your app’s Bengali rendering.

A deliberate regression fixture

Editorial regression fixture — shape and preservation tests only
country: BD
postal_shape: "1234"
original_label: "রূপা"
sub_district: omitted
expected: Keep the original Bengali text and allow the unused sub-district field to remain empty.

These editorial inputs are for controlled tests. They are not verified addresses, guaranteed unassigned contact details, or automatically generated examples.

  1. 01

    Fixture assertion

Keep the original Bengali text and allow the unused sub-district field to remain empty.

  2. 02

    Original text

Add the hand-written input “রূপা” and compare it after saving, copying and CSV import. It is an editorial string, not promised generator output.

  3. 03

    Locale and coverage

Test bn-BD display separately from the stored date-only value. Keep the generated locality coverage note with the record; the address reference does not expand Genory’s dataset.

Address reference: UPU addressing guide: Bangladesh. Reviewed 4 October 2026. Postal presentation rules are not universal rules for storing personal names.
