Random Number Generator & List Picker
Generate random numbers, pick or shuffle list entries and create teams. Set the input pool and check duplicate rules before using the result.

Define the pool before you randomize.
This tool handles numbers, list selection, shuffled orders and teams. The useful result depends on the input pool and your repeat rules. Decide what one entry represents before generating, especially when several people or items share the same visible label.
- 01
Choose the operation
Use numbers for a bounded range, pick for a selection, shuffle for a reordered list and teams for groups balanced by entry count.
- 02
Check duplicates and precision
Review whether repeated entries are allowed. In number mode, decimal precision determines the available values between the bounds.
- 03
Save the outcome
Record the original pool and final result when you need to explain an assignment later. Running the same options again creates a new outcome.
Example: a unique range can be exhausted
Minimum: 1 | Maximum: 3 | Decimals: 0
Available unique values: 1, 2, 3
Requesting four distinct values cannot succeed. When a request cannot be satisfied, widen the range, reduce the amount or permit repetition. Changing the amount does not create additional distinct values in the original pool.
| Mode | Result means | Review first |
|---|---|---|
| Pick | Select entries from the pool | Duplicate labels |
| Shuffle | Reorder the supplied pool | Missing or repeated inputs |
| Teams | Distribute entries among groups | No skill balancing |
Before you use the result
Practical answers for your next test.
Why are team sizes slightly different?
When the entry count is not divisible by the number of teams, some groups receive one more entry.
Can I reproduce the same draw?
There is no replay seed for this tool. Save the result and inputs if you need a stable assignment.
Why does list mode need a larger allowance?
List operations can produce several result rows. Batch access and quota apply to those outputs, not just to the button click.
