ABOUT THIS GENERATOR

Match the name to the map scale

Cities use settlement endings such as ford, wick and haven. Kingdoms use endings such as oria and wyn with territorial epithets. Temples use resonant roots and sacred-site words, while planets use orbital epithets such as Reach and Drift. Each type is an existing, distinct profile.

Naming style

Name + epithet can produce a city district, a realm label, a sanctuary or a planetary region depending on the selected type. Title + name uses that profile’s descriptor instead. The same length setting adds syllables to the root for each type; it does not determine settlement size, geography or population.

How to use this generator

  1. Choose Cities, Kingdoms, Temples or Planets to match the location.
  2. Compare a bare name with Name + epithet in Advanced options.
  3. Generate a batch and read the candidates beside neighboring locations on your map.

Tips for choosing a name

  • Use short labels where map space is tight and keep longer ceremonial names in your notes.
  • Avoid giving adjacent settlements nearly identical roots; First letter can help spread them across the alphabet.

Favorites stay in this browser for guests or in your Genory account when signed in. Save the seed together with the selected generator and settings to reproduce a series in the same engine version.

Frequently asked questions

Can I generate villages?

The city profile includes settlement-style endings and can inspire a village name. It does not model different settlement sizes.

Does the planet option generate coordinates or astronomy?

No. It produces names only, with orbital-flavored epithets rather than scientific properties.

Can I reproduce all four types with one seed?

Save the seed, type and every setting. A seed alone is insufficient because each profile has different building blocks.
